FIRST FLOOR Renovation & PARTIAL Garage Conversion
Transforming an existing two-storey home into a modern and functional coastal residence.
This extensive renovation transformed an existing two-storey brick home in Long Jetty, with a complete renovation of the first floor, conversion of part of the existing garage into an additional bedroom and extensive upgrades to the home's exterior.
The project focused on improving the functionality, appearance and accommodation of the existing home while retaining its original structure. From the initial demolition through to the final finishes, JRS Building Solutions coordinated the construction process and trades involved in delivering the renovation.
The Transformation
The first floor was stripped back and extensively renovated to create bright, functional living spaces with an improved layout and cohesive coastal aesthetic. The renovation included a new kitchen, fully renovated bathroom, ensuite and separate WC, structural alterations, updated plumbing and electrical services, new flooring, custom joinery, split-system air conditioning and a complete internal repaint.
Externally, the original home was given a significant facelift with rendered brickwork, painted timber posts and screening, aluminium balustrading, tiled verandahs and stairs, timber-look panel lift garage doors, roof restoration and a complete exterior repaint. Part of the existing garage was also converted into an additional bedroom, including a new timber floor system, aluminium windows, plasterboard linings, lighting, power, ceiling fan and custom carpentry.
