Renovation and Alteration project

This project started with a tired, 80’s-style home situated on an elevated block with filtered views of Lake Munmorah.  Our clients’ brief was to create a warm, modern and functional family home, whilst still maintaining the 1980’s character of the original façade.

To achieve this, we executed a comprehensive scope of works, including a full internal strip-out, alteration of load-bearing walls, installation of new windows and doors, and the creation of a modern kitchen, bathroom, and laundry.

Throughout the home, Spotted Gum hardwood flooring was also installed, exuding natural beauty and durability. Additionally, we constructed three new hardwood decks strategically positioned to maximise the breath-taking water views.

One of the standout features of this project was the integration of an office/library space, providing a dedicated area for work and study. Another highlight was the exquisite entertainment wall, complete with a built-in electric heater, serving as both a functional and visually striking focal point.

The final result was a fresh and contemporary home that perfectly caters to the needs of this young family, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment for years to come. The blend of modern design elements and the preservation of the original façade achieves a harmonious balance between the past and the present.
